#COVID19 — Who takes blame? Responsibility?
The novel Corona virus disease continues to spread it’s tentacles globally as new cases and mortalities are recorded daily across the globe. There has been a rising mortality in the United States, Europe and the middle east amid efforts to contain the pandemic. This has resonated a myriad of deliberation and queries in many quarters into China’s transparency — as the epicenter of the global outbreak — in managing the novel #Covid19. It would be pertinent to note that “CCP”, “China”, “ the Chinese” and “Chinese” interchangeably referenced in this article represents the Chinese Communist Party in charge of the Chinese government, widely infamous for suppression of free speech and human rights violations; explicitly at variance with the Chinese citizenry or those traditionally originating from China.
It is no longer news that most of Europe and North America have been ravaged by the pandemic although several measures have been instituted by various national governments to protect and ensure the safety and wellbeing of it’s citizenry.
Cities in Europe have been reduced to ghost towns with deserted streets, shops and businesses put on lockdown to contain the spread of the pandemic. Football leagues and other sporting events across the world have been temporarily suspended and for the first time in the global Olympic’s 124-year modern history, the 2020 summer Olympics hitherto slated for Japan has since been postponed to summer 2021 in a bid to contain and stamp out the virus which has wrecked the international sporting calendar.
According to reports documented by Aljazeera media network as at March 29, 2020, “COVID-19 had spread to at least 146 countries and territories on six continents, infecting more than 650,000 people and killing more than 31,000. The vast majority of infections and deaths had previously occurred in mainland China, where authorities placed a region of 60 million people under lockdown to contain the pathogen.”
According to the New York Times — as at March 31, 2020, “The coronavirus, which surfaced in a Chinese seafood and poultry market late last year, has spread to at least 171 countries, killing more than 38,000 and sickening hundreds of thousands of people in a matter of weeks.”
While the world battles to stamp out this pandemic, the role of China in containing the global spread of the virus necessitates objective investigation; eliciting questions such as those chronicled below.
Thus, why has Europe and North America become the epicenter of the virus in the world with the United States recording over 100,000 confirmed cases, the highest globally in less than three months after the reported outbreak?
A rather novel and “Strange” disease as widely speculated, why is China recuperating at such exponential rate? How did they arrive at an effective antidote under such limited period?
Why is China at over 70% of recovery within days of being ravaged by the virus?
Europe and North America are currently on lockdown, they have been forced to inject trillions to sustain their economies, businesses are shut, stocks are plunging daily but the Chinese city of Wuhan which was the epicenter of the virus in China — the birthplace of the outbreak — is already 75%+ back to daily and economic activities. In addition to already touting a newly discovered vaccine for the strange disease.
Given that the outbreak occurred towards the end of 2019 and escalated mid January, 2020; Was China certain on the looming outbreak but failed to alert the rest of the world at the time of discovery? — the CCP built a 1,000+ bed hospital in 10 days from ground up to manage patients of COVID19.
How did they assemble all materials and complete fittings for the project in just 10days after being “caught unawares” by the pandemic?
Did the CCP allow the pandemic spread on purpose?
The Chinese have been feeding on exotic animals for decades as food and medicine. Why and how did these animals become vectors of one of the deadliest diseases recorded in recent history? - If the exotic animals confirmed to be responsible for the global pandemic began mutating in 2020, hence, a novel discovery; why did the Chinese government shut down whistle blowers - doctors and health workers including Dr. Li Wenliang, most of who lost their lives on the front lines in battle against the pandemic - who identified the virus in its early stages and raised an alarm on it’s severity and the looming catastrophe?
While uncertain as regards the monopoly of Wuhan over Chinese wet markets, Wuhan is a known hub for international migrants and trade + the bulk of the population exiting China after the Chinese new year departed from Wuhan. Why did the outbreak occur in an area populated by foreigners?
Why was Wuhan the most ravaged and not Beijing or Shanghai? - Some say majority travelled out of these major cities during the new year’s holiday, hence, the low mortality recorded in those regions.
However, in the quest to unearth mysteries surrounding this seemingly bizarre puzzle, one begins to ponder on the extraordinary measures put in place to contain the spread in Beijing and Shanghai and lessons States ravaged by this pandemic are failing to adopt from China in curbing the spread and mortality within their domains.
In other words, what did the CCP do in Beijing and Shanghai, recording insignificant cases of the pandemic which the rest of the world ravaged by the virus is yet to implement?
Furthermore, how did China downplay the pandemic until 7+million people (according to the NYT) left Wuhan?
It would be pertinent to note that the CCP:
- Brazenly denied the existence of the virus
- Repeatedly debunked the possibility of human to human transmission with the aid of the WHO
- Proclaimed ignorance on the health conditions of people who left Wuhan - mostly to Europe - and had contracted the virus before the eventual lock down of Wuhan on January 23rd, 2020.
At what point did the Chinese discover the pandemic was real?
How has China attained such progressive levels of recovery while the rest of the world struggles to figure “what next” remains a moot subject open to investigation. Could the Chinese mortality be collateral damage? — there are claims that the official statistics released by the Chinese government for COVID19 are false; suggesting higher numbers of Chinese mortalities at variance with those declared by the Chinese government.
All these and more are questions begging for answers in the wake of the COVID19 global pandemic.
The rising cases of #COVID19 in the United States have been linked to the supposed negligence of the US government in the wake of the crisis despite risk assessment reports made available to the Trump administration. There have been reports which suggests the Trump administration downplayed the severity of the pandemic despite several warnings. Some of these reports suggests the Trump administration downplayed the severity and spread to enable an influential minority profit from the US stock market. Whether or not the sabotage of the US stock market as reported is authentic remains in the realms of subjective truth and open to detailed investigation.
With new reports on faulty test kits and PPEs certified for quality assurance coming out of China, can the Chinese be trusted to help in the fight against the pandemic?
In all of these, the search for truth would be primarily to establish for a fact if the COVID19 outbreak is a shot at eugenics, an attack on the existing balance of power or an asymmetric war on the global economy using biological weapons.
At the end of the pandemic, although there have been predictions on the potential rise in suicide and depression cases stemming from the reduction in social interaction, a whole lot would have discovered existing talents, hobbies and become proficient in different niche areas — by learning new skills — others would bequeath more value to such times and events for which they would engage in public activities without unnecessary panic. Citizens all across the globe would come to learn that national governments possess the capacity to take such actions as positively impact their citizenry but most are usually deliberately unwilling to take the bull by the horn.

Whether or not existing conspiracy theories on the Chinese corona virus #COVID19 prove to be true, it is clear that the CCP put the world in this pathetic condition as they continuously downplayed it’s severity until the escalation of the virus and no moralist, diplomatic whitewashing or racist blame game — as currently orchestrated by China — can abolish this fact or absorb them of taking responsibility for this catastrophe.
